Kid’s Classes
Our Kid’s Martial Art’s program is split into two age groups: 5-7 and 8-12
All Children are trained in the same system of martial arts and self-defense incorporating the basic principals that I teach; although, if a student wishes or needs a more specific and personalized type of instruction other programs are available. The system is not designed to teach kids how to “fight” nor is it a traditional martial art or a sports system.
While staying with traditional values and philosophies the system is designed purely for self defense and will help teach children to be aware of all potential aspects of a conflict. The program is in place to teach students of potential threats and how to deal with them in an appropriate manner. Our students will learn to walk with confidence knowing that they will have a plan to deal with potential violence as well as being prepared for physical confrontation as a last resort.
Class material is both challenging and fun and produces children that are confident, street-aware and not prone to bullying or intimidation.
“Both my boys, who attend different age groups, can’t wait to get to class. I think that says more than I can”

“I had taken martial arts classes in the past and I wanted to start taking classes again. After trying a few classes with Dave I was impressed with his knowledge and teaching style as well as his emphasis on safety. I have been a student for almost two years and both my children are taking classes now. I work for the Clement Centre Society and have assisted clients in Dave’s Special needs class and have been very impressed with how he works with these individuals and how he adapts the classes to their needs.”
